If you have been thinking about a soup maker, buy this one, it is really great. I can make soup in 20 to 30 minutes and don't have to watch it and stir all the time. Just put water/stock to the line, add veg etc to the next line and then press 'on' and choose 'soup smooth' or 'soup chunky' ! That's all there is to it. Wait for the beep and its done, could not be simpler. Easy to wash up, just the jug and lid. I use this several times a week. If I make too much I just freeze what's left. This is a gadget that will actually be used.

bought for elderly father to allow him to make smaller amounts of healthy soup so needed to be simple to use. He has so far made leek and potato soup which he said was delicious and it was easy to add the ingredients. a bit noisy when it blends but otherwise no issues and makes either a nice chunky or smooth soup according to preference. Appears to be good value for money compared to more expensive products

Overall am pleased with the soup maker but found the instruction booklet was written in poor english and a bit difficult to follow in places. It took a while to work out that you have to use the provided filter if you want chunky soup. The soup book which came with it as a freebie did not have soup machine recipes. I therefore bought another book which was specific to soup makers and this has been far more helpful. Now have the confidence to experiment with different soups. As mentioned in one of the reviews this machine is noisy but it cooks enough soup for 3 reasonable or two hearty servings very quickly - 15 to 20 minutes.
