Best thing ever!

I didn't buy this from Amazon, I managed to get hold of one from my local market about four years ago and I still use it all the time. It's small enough to have out on your work top all the time, and their lies it's beauty. You don't have to keep getting it out and putting it away again, and so it doesn't end up sitting in the cupboard gathering dust. I use mine mostly to make smoothies with frozen fruit, apple juice and protein powder, but it's excellent for making omlettes, whipping cream, making mint sauce, chopping nuts, crushing ice... You name it, this little blender can do it - as long as you only want small portions. Ideal for a single person or a couple, maybe not for a big family. Although it would be quite good for making baby food too. It's also really easy to clean and the cups and jars and lids you get with it are also really useful.If mine ever breaks I would by another one without hesitation. It really is the most useful little kitchen gadget I have ever bought.

Most useful kitchen tool

I bought my first and second Bullets from the UK distributor about six and three years ago respectively. It is probably the handiest thing in the kitchen for a couple of reasons. First, as has been mentioned, it sits on the worktop and its footprint is only slightly bigger than a coffee mug. That means you don't have to feel like it's a chore to keep getting it out of the cupboard when you need it. The other thing that is so good about it is the fact that the blade is detachable, and you get a couple of them so you're not always waiting for a clean one. That is an issue I have noticed with many of these mini-blenders - you make a batch of something and have to clean the unit before you can make anything else. With the Bullet you just use another cup and blade then bung them in the dishwasher.I can honestly say I use it every single day, first for grinding coffee beans then a smoothie, maybe a curry paste, a salad dressing, a spice rub, a herb marinade. So many things. When my first Bullet burnt out I didn't hesitate to replace it with the same. I know it isn't the most powerful motor (it is very small) but having used it so much I felt it was great value for money. Of course, only the motor was kaput so I now have extra blades, cups etc. which is useful.Back when I bought my first one there was an American film advertising the Bullet on one of the shopping channels. There were claims about omlettes and grating cheese which I now know don't work in this machine (unless you want your omlette really spongey). I also find it difficult to make hummus and mackerel pate, so I'm going to buy a stick blender with a bowl attachment for those. However, I would still give the Bullet 5 stars.If you like Thai or Indian curries then the Bullet makes fantastic curry pastes. If you put your peppercorns and coriander seeds in and grind them first you can then just throw the garlic, onions, herbs, chillis etc into the same cup and blend. If you make a double batch simply screw a lid on and keep it in the fridge until you need it next. If you work full-time then the Bullet incentivises you to be more creative than you might if you faced the prospect of dragging the food processor out of the cupboard.Ace machine.

Not good

I had an original magic bullet blender which last for over 3 years with daily use. I decided to buy what I thought was the same product again, this model is not as powerful, the seals inside don't align allowing it to leak, and is forever getting tangled up in the food, the magic bullet logo has worn off the front of the appliance as it is cheaply made. Save your money
