By MarcoMyAss
It all looks nice but mine was useless; the jug didn't screw onto the motor base due to misalignment of the interlock (cheap plastic molding). I was particularly annoyed as it had been sent to me by Russell Hobbs to replace the previous version after the blade cracked and they'd run out of spare parts. It's just cheap rubbish being churned out using what used to be a quality brand name.

By Kaye Affresco
Exactly the same problem as the reviewer prior to me states. It takes FOREVER to try and get the jug onto the base as the thing is not aligned right. All I want to use it for is blending soft veg for soup but the hassle is stressful purely because of this flaw in design. I loved the look and it feels solid but the important function of actually being ASSEMBLED should be made easy without fear of breaking the plastic base.

By Joy
We bought this blender (sadly not from my favourite supplier Amazon but from Tesco as we had some vouchers to use - what a waste) just before moving to Greece. I was attracted to this particular one because of it's large capacity glass jug. We tried it once before packing it up, just to make sure it worked. I could not get the jug to lock onto the base - my husband had to do it for me - and then I could not get it to UNlock! RIDICULOUS.We arrived in Greece and a neighbour gave us a huge butternut squash, which I roasted and then pulped the flesh in the blender. As you can imagine, the pulp was very soft anyway so the blender did not have to work hard. Despite this fact, it starting smoking and then completely packed up. We had used it twice. Clearly as we are now in Greece we cannot take it back to Tesco! Grrrrrrrrrrrr! RUBBISH product and a complete waste of money!
