The best hand blender - expensive but worth it

My mother bought a Bamix in 1969 and still uses it virtually every day. I've had several cheaper mixers (Braun etc) but none of them have the power and quality of the Bamix so I finally stumped up the extra money and bought this.The plastic stand is too lightweight for worktop use and does let it down somewhat, but its OK when screwed to the wall via the mounting holes provided. Its very easy to clean and the specialist tools for beating/whipping work amazingly once you get the knack of creating a vortex - tip: practice with some water!

I can honestly say that this is the best item I have EVER purchased to use in the kitchen.I have used cheaper brands and models but they splash everywhere, they are noisy and use alot of electricity compared with the Bamix. This little machine fits into the palm of your hand perfectly and the buttons are very easy to use. I also like the way that each attachment fits onto the bottom, the booklet also tell you how to tighten these if they become loose after a time.My Bamix has been used to make soup, mayonaise, milkshakes etc. This can also turn skimmed milk into a cream texture which is totally amazing, the colder the milk the better so I just put it into the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes prior to whipping it up. I also add fruit or coffee into the skimmed milk which makes a lovely dessert.This also comes with a grinding mill which turns sugar into icing sugar, it really is that good!The only downside is the limited recipe book, but if you hunt on the internet you will find a Bamix cookbook which contains over 150 recipes. I am afraid that Amazon do not sell this book at present but if you search the internet auction sites then you should find it.

Look no further - Bamix really do make the best hand blenders on the marketYes other are alot cheaper - but they will last 12-18 months max - this will last you YEARS. They look great and are so versaite - whisking, mixing, blending, grinding - they really do everything you wantBamix are more powerful and work at higher speeds so the work gets done faster and to a higher standardSimply the best - foreget the price tag - it's worth it
